I work with Myanmar colleagues to create spaces of dialogue and healing in areas of conflict in Myanmar. We use a holistic methodology that includes non-violent communication, forum theatre, meditation, yoga and creative play. We are working with people who are living within and are part of complex violent conflicts related to identity, resources, power and generations of pain. It is deeply rewarding work in which we have the opportunity to really connect with everyday people and internally displaced people, to share stories, move together, laugh together and seek change.
In my supervisions, Sally listens to me and enables me to understand myself better. She asks me challenging questions and keeps me company while I try to figure out the answers. I appreciate the layers of her tool-box, that she draws from coaching, Chinese medicine and so many other directions. It is a safe space for me in which to reflect, process emotion and find solutions, for my work and for my life. Thank you, Sally
