“Sally has been such an inspirational life coach to me. Working with Sally has helped me grow leaps and bounds on the personal side. I learnt to have real and honest conversations with myself. The more I know I myself, the more confidence I have in leading a fulfilling life. Thanks, Sally for all you do!”
HW – China General manager; International Food Industry
“Over a course of 3 one-hour sessions, I found Sally Blades to be kind, thoughtful and a highly perceptive listener. I never felt judged or criticized and always supported. She helped focus my thoughts and clarify my feelings. When appropriate she offered valuable practical advice. I found the whole process from beginning to end thoroughly empowering. I would highly recommend Sally as a Professional Coach.”
Sarah Greaves – Embercombe Journeyer
“Sally helps me to take stock of who I am, where I am, where I want to go and how to get there. She offers a friendly space for the exploration of many issues – even ones I had not recognised before. We don’t meet often but I find the sessions tremendously uplifting and I come away feeling renewed.”
Anne-Marie – International Nutrition and Soil Consultant
“As soon as I started work with Sally, I felt able to express myself authentically and I felt she connected with who I was and where I was at. Sally met me and my needs calmly, warmly and wisely, providing a space for me to open up and connect to myself whatever I was experiencing at that moment, giving me insights into some of my thinking habits as well as timely reminders about my own capacity to know and nourish myself. It was exactly what I needed at that moment.”
Helen Mulligan – Teacher & Embercombe Journeyer
“Sally’s calm voice and patience to listen encouraged me to be open and honest. This allowed me to explore my inner self, identify what was causing me to be anxious and to be able to separate “facts – reality” from “fiction – my thoughts”.
I was provided with strategies to use, and during my sessions we often went over the same ground, which helped to embed those strategies that worked for me.
I am now more confident in my role and will continue to use the strategies in my tool kit to help me move forward.
Thank you, I am glad I had the opportunity to work with you and would recommend you to others.”

One-to-one Supervision
“I work with Myanmar colleagues to create spaces of dialogue and healing in areas of conflict in Myanmar. We use a holistic methodology that includes non-violent communication, forum theatre, meditation, yoga and creative play. We are working with people who are living within and are part of complex violent conflicts related to identity, resources, power and generations of pain. It is deeply rewarding work in which we have the opportunity to really connect with everyday people and internally displaced people, to share stories, move together, laugh together and seek change.
In my supervisions, Sally listens to me and enables me to understand myself better. She asks me challenging questions and keeps me company while I try to figure out the answers. I appreciate the layers of her tool-box, that she draws from coaching, Chinese medicine and so many other directions. It is a safe space for me in which to reflect, process emotion and find solutions, for my work and for my life. Thank you, Sally”
T. Hubbard – Co-Director of Myanmar Art Social projeCt (MASC)
“I have worked with Sally for the last 4 years and I have really come to value the space my sessions give me to explore what is really going on for me in relation to my facilitation work. Sally has a curious, warm and empathic way of being, and also manages to gently challenge my habitual patterns, which I find really helpful. I come away from my supervision sessions with Sally feeling connected, nourished and more spacious.”

“My name is Carolyn and I’ve had the privilege of having Sally as my coaching supervisor for well over a year now. I’ve been a coach for many years and have had a variety of Supervisors, but Sally has been the most influential in my development as a coach.
I think that one of the reasons I chose Sally (other than that she looked friendly in her photographs!) was that she offered a slightly different way of coaching to my own, having come to it through different career and life experiences. She seemed to offer the fresh style that I was looking for and wanted to learn from. Previously, my coaching practice and supervision had been rooted in a large organisational culture. Sally offered a more holistic view of coaching to the one that I had been used to.
Sally is truly authentic in her coaching supervision; she has a quietness and non-judgemental approach that enables me to explore my own coaching practice in a safe and comfortable way.
She is professional, positive, gentle and insightful, and at the same time challenges me in a way that enables me to positively reflect on my own practice. I have learned to be more adaptable and adept in my coaching and to be ‘quieter’ in my mind and interventions. As a direct result of my supervision, I undertook my NLP Practitioner Course and have no doubt that I have developed as a coach (and as a hypnotherapist) through supervision and my interactions with Sally.
I am very grateful to Sally and would highly recommend her as a Supervisor. The option to meet face-to-face or to do Supervision through Skype is also very valuable.”

Group Supervision
“I’ve been working with Sally for many years as my coaching supervisor.
As my own coaching business has developed, so have some of the complexities that arise. Sally’s expertise is to use a coaching style to draw solutions from me around the issues present. She is able to offer her wisdom at times to point to things I might not have seen.
I’ve shifted to an ‘Inside Out’ understanding, which is the basis for my coaching. Sally has the flexibility and curiosity to hold the space for the understanding to flourish both for me and other members of the supervision group.
It’s remarkable that thanks to Sally’s ability to hold the space, each supervision session seems to go deeper and uncover insights never imagined.”
Stuart Newberry – Transformational coach, trainer, facilitator – Coaching Connect
“For me, supervision is a rich and nourishing space to reflect on my practice as a coach and trainer. Sally’s style is inclusive and encouraging and she brings with her a wealth of wisdom, skill and knowledge that has enriched my continuing professional journey. I love being part of a supervision group and can’t recommend this style of support enough.”
Liz Scott – Coach & Trainer – Coaching Connect
“I have known Sally personally for a number of years, and professionally as my supervisor for the past 3 years or so. What Sally does so well is that she creates a deeply listening and trusting space within a simple and effective structure. She has a wonderful capacity for validating my experience, whilst also asking insightful and sometimes challenging questions so that I can see my situation more clearly.
One way to evaluate how helpful Sally’s supervision sessions are is by the feeling I’m left with when I leave. Without exception I leave feeling peaceful and deeply connected to myself and the others in the group, even if I’ve had a ‘difficult’ session.
It looks effortless on her part, but I know that comes from a quality of attention and care in her which has a way of invariably revealing the wisdom in all of us. And we have a jolly good laugh too!”
Michael Brown – Devon Life Coaching
“Sally gently and intuitively holds a space where some sort of magic happens and I find myself relaxing into a deeper understanding of the issues that are concerning me and finding my own answers. I warmly recommend working with her.”
